THEATER
We often learn about others and the world through stories. Stories have the power to transport us, help us see the world from a different perspective and learn life lessons. Theater is a powerful medium for storytelling.
Theater performances help students learn to work together and give them the opportunity to share their gifts with the community. Our CCHS students can participate in a play in the fall and/or a musical in the spring. Our theater arts teachers select scripts based on our students’ gifts and the lessons learned through the stories they tell.
Spring Musical 2018
Musical dates are April 13-14, 2018, 7:30 pm each evening
Admission is by free will donation
Join us for the Covenant Christian High School production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's beloved musical Oklahoma!
Set in Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the high spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Although the road to true love never runs smooth, with these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, love's journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road. That they will succeed in making a new life together we have no doubt, and that this new life will begin as a brand-new state provides the ultimate climax to the triumphant OKLAHOMA!
BAND CONCERTS
I Peter 4: 10 tells us that “each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”
Music is a powerful gift. Music can transcend language barriers, brings God’s children together in unity and provide an opportunity to worship the Creator of harmony and beauty.
At CCHS, we acknowledge that God gives us musical talents to glorify Him and to bless others through sharing our gifts. Concerts are just one way we can bless the community with our musical abilities. Our band holds concert events throughout the year and we invite all in the community to attend! Check the school calendar and social media for upcoming concert dates!
CHOIR CONCERTS
The people of the Lord have been singing His praises since the beginning. Songs help us remember the truth and love that God lavishes on us. Singing in worship helps us connect with the Lord in a unique way and blesses those who hear it. Our choir concerts are a time of worship where our students can demonstrate the vocal skills they have been learning and bless the audience with praise.
The Psalmist says, “I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.” (Psalm 13: 6)
We hope you join us for choir concerts throughout the year and pray you’ll be blessed by our songs of praise! Check the school calendar and social media for upcoming concert dates!

Psalm 100: 5 says, “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Every November, Covenant Christian High School joins with DeMotte Christian Grade School to host a special day for student’s grandparents to visit classes, watch some intramurals, eat lunch with their grandchild(ren) and learn more about all that is happening at CCHS.
It’s a great morning where we can honor the support we receive from generations of families who believe in the mission of Christian education.
This year’s Grandparent’s Day is Friday, November 3.
